Palindrome

Have You ever heard the word Palindrome?
Well, if You haven’t, please don’t feel alone.
In my humble opinion I would bet that the odds of You hearing someone using the word Palindrome would be about the same as Your chances of winning the lottery. As a matter of fact, I never knew the Palindrome word existed until this morning.
You might be asking Yourself “What in the heck is he talking about and why am I continuing to read this ridiculous Blog? Well to clear things up, I was sipping my second cup of #Coffee thinking about #WritingABlog and as You might have guessed I really couldn’t think of anything to #Write about. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one of my favorite quotations “ABLE WAS I ERE I SAW ELBA” popped-up into my somewhat off-centered brain. Now if You are paying attention to what You are reading You will realize that “ALBE WAS I ERE I SAW ELBA” can be read the same way, forward or backwards.
I dare not get political about what Napoleon did or didn’t do, but I do Love his famous quotation and I can’t help but believe he was obviously an extremely intelligent person to come up with the most famous Palindrome“A word or phrase that reads the same way in both directions, forwards or backwards, ever. However, what confuses me most of all is who ever came up with the Palindrome word in the first place? There is no logic to it. It’s a flat unappealing word.
It makes no sense. As a matter of fact, have You ever met anyone named Palindrome or ever heard of anyone having a dog, cat, or horse named Palindrome? Or have You ever sat down at PJ's Coffee or CC’s Coffee© and had the pleasure of sipping a Palindrome Latte?
I’m sure You’ve heard the saying “Our troubles are of our own making.” And how true this is for me. Because now that I am through Writing this wonderful Blog, I’m certain the word Palindrome will be firmly embedded in the ole Grey Matter and I’ll be stuck with that word for the rest of my life. Well, what the heck! (It is what it is!) So, I’ve decided to celebrate by having a Palindrome Party. It’s so exciting! Everyone will be going forwards or backwards and all directions. We will be bumping into each other and it will be so much fun.
P.S. Hope You can join the festivities! And perhaps, after the party, we can all go to our favorite Coffee Shop and have the pleasure of enjoying a Palindrome Latte?
